Email settings

First off there are auto configure scripts for the most popular email clients located in the cPanel. Under email accounts click on the configure mail client to the far right of the email address that you are trying to setup. The auto configure scripts are at the top and I highly recommend IMAP.

These are the general settings for all email accounts on the server.

Anything in ALL CAPS needs to be updated.

Mail Server Username: USERNAME@DOMAIN.COM
Incoming Mail Server: mail.DOMAIN.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.DOMAIN.COM (server requires authentication) port 25
Supported Incoming Mail Protocols: POP3, POP3S (SSL/TLS), IMAP, IMAPS (SSL/TLS)
Supported Outgoing Mail Protocols: SMTP, SMTPS (SSL/TLS)

If you wish to connect to the email server using a secure connection you need to use the information provided below.

Incoming Mail Server: (SSL) server.gearheadhost.com
Outgoing Mail Server: (SSL) server.gearheadhost.com (server requires authentication) port 465

These secure connections need to be to server.gearheadhost.com or they will fail. Also the first time you connect you will need to accept the certificate.
